I discovered my passion for teaching during a volunteer mission when I taught English at a local school in Nepal. I’m a grammar nerd and love thinking not only about what native speakers say, but the “why” behind why we use specific expressions, phrases and tenses. In fact, nothing makes me happier than when my students ask me these questions! Like my students, I study foreign languages myself - I’ve studied Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German and Spanish – so I understand the frustrations, joys and pitfalls of language learning. I dream of becoming sufficiently proficient in these languages so I can travel widely and immerse myself in the different and wonderful cultures around the world.
