My name is Elena, and I am an ELICOS teacher at Sunshine Coast International College. I come from Russia, where I graduated from a University as a Linguist/ Teacher specialising in teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures. I have always been passionate about exploring Language as a means for transferring cognitive information. And my job as a teacher in a multicultural environment provided me with an excellent opportunity to do it.  

I really enjoy working with overseas students as it gives me a chance to help them boost their confidence through language learning as well as facilitate their integration into an English-speaking community. 

I believe teaching should be meaningful, yet engaging. So I prefer teaching through fun and interactive activities aimed to gradually increase students’ independence.
